Toorongo (Noojee) Falls

- One of the most beautiful tracks in Victoria. Gippsland, east of Melbourne, is a must-see region at least once! Only two hours from the Melbourne, Toorongo Falls Reserve is nestled amongst some of Victoria’s most gorgeous cool temperate rainforest. The walk starts a short distance from Toorongo Falls Camping Area. With small stops this track took us about an hour. During the walk, you can see both waterfalls: Toorongo Falls and Amphitheatre Falls. The most beautiful waterfall is at the end of the track. Noojee is Aboriginal word meaning valley of, or place of rest. It was land of the Wurundjeri tribe’s prior to European settlement.
