The lost cultural heritage

French expeditionary force robbed Oegyujanggak in 1866.
The books are the only extant version, so they are precious beyond imagination..

The books were first discovered in 1975 by a librarian and since 1992, the Korean government asked the French to return the books they had robbed.
And the movement that supports the return of the books started in 2008 but the French court ruled that the books were French property...
